Macy’s Brazil Launch Events

Beginning in May, Macy’s launched a series of Brazilian events at stores around the country to celebrate the culture, art and beauty of Brazil. The “year of Brazil” kicked-off with a preview on May 15 at the world-famous flagship store at Herald Square, followed by events in Miami and LA.  Events featured a Carnival-inspired celebration with fashion, food, music, dance and art of Brazil…and of course Leblon Cachaça.

From the Bossa Nova and Samba to Capoeira, Macy’s Herald Square set the stage for internationally acclaimed musicians Bebel Gilberto and Sergio Mendes, Globo TV’s famous telenovela stars, Fiorella Mattheis and Raphael Viana, and pop music sensation Fiuk, bringing the spirit of Brazilian culture to life.

Guests also enjoyed delicious Leblon Fresh Fruit Caipirinhas and Brazilian Lemonade with Cedilla Açai Liquor.

Mônica da Silva featured by Putumayo World Music – Brazilian Beat

Mônica da Silva‘s new song ”Aí Então” has been launched today by Putumayo World Music on their brand new album ”Brazilian Beat”! The album has been described as “Samba soul, bossa grooves and tropicalia rhythms intertwine with this exhilarating Brazilian collection.”
