ENTER TO WIN YOUR PLACE ON THE DESTILARIA MAISON LEBLON WORLD CUP TEAM
In June 2014, we’ll invite a team of 11 bartenders for a week in Brazil to enjoy The World Cup and everything Brazilian. From attending the Copa do Mundo and guest bartending at a local hotspot, to learning how to make your own Cachaça de Alambique as an apprentice at our Maison Leblon and playing Pelada on Leblon Beach, this will be an unforgettable experience.
1. AUDIÇÃO (TRYOUTS) • Apr-Jul 2013
Just like the best teams in the World, you need to tryout for the team. We want to hear from you and why you deserve to join us in Brazil at the 2014 World Cup as part of Team Maison Leblon. Don’t be shy, get creative. Remember this is a trip to Brazil and a seat at the biggest sporting event in the world! Paint a mural, create a music video, or serve the world’s biggest Leblon Caipirinha at your bar. This is your time to shine!
Tryout entries must be received by sunday, July 28, 2013. Finalists will be selected on July 31 to go to the next qualifying round. And a quick note from the government: you need to be at or above the legal drink age in your respective country to enter.
EMAIL WORLDCUP@THEMAISONLEBLON.COM.BR WITH:
• Your name, address, email, phone number, and country of residence
• Where you bartend (we’re really looking for working bartenders here)
• The name and recipe of the Leblon or Cedilla cocktail that you have on your menu
• Your creative entry showing us why you deserve to be on the Destilaria Maison Leblon World Cup Team
2. QUALIFICAÇÃO (QUALIFIERS) • Aug-Oct 2013
After tryouts comes the qualifying round, where the team of 11 to come to Brazil will be selected from 40 try-out winners. The criteria for selection will be a good old fashioned Concurso de Coquetel (cocktail contest), which the winners will be announced on Friday, October 25. More details later, but we look forward to some drinks!
3. TREINAMENTO (TRAINING) • Nov 2013-Spring 2014
Once the roster of 11 team members has been selected, we will train as a team to prepare for the World Cup representing Destilaria Maison Leblon. Training will be fun, at times difficult, rewarding, and will be sure to create memories for a lifetime. Like all teams competing for a World Title, the end result is what we train so hard for. All 11 players must complete the Treinamento activities in order to make it to Brazil.
